IMPHAL, Dec 22: As a run up the Christmas festival, the second Edition of Advent Christmas Carnival Programme was organized by HQ 27 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of “Red Shield Division” today at Churachandpur Public Ground with traditional gaiety and celebratory mood, informed a PIB press note.
A huge turnout of locals and Govt officials witnessed cultural events that included tribal folk dances, Christmas carols and artists from various tribes performing. This year`s celebration included a band competition and performances by artists like Mr Beeny Khongsai, Mr LL Muana and Miss Priscila, the note added.
On the occasion, Commander 27 Sector Assam Rifles conveyed his best wishes to everybody. The event was a huge hit amongst the public who were thrilled with the outstanding performance.
