A trekking exercise was conducted for the cadets of No 1 (Manipur) Air Sqn (Flg) NCC, at Namching, Keithelmanbi on Jan 19 as a part of their training programme.
The cadets are at present undergoing the Annual Training camp –II (2012-13). A total number of 225 cadets are taking part under the supervision of Camp Commandant Sqn Ldr KU Singh.
Cadets of No 1 (Manipur) Air Sqn (Flg) NCC conducted Social Service (Shramdan) at the “Khuman Lampak Sports complex” on 20 Jan 2013..
Social services are also an integral part of NCC Training along with the lesson in self sacrifice, discipline and dignity of labour. The social services activities are a part of the Annual Training Camp-II (2012-13). A total number of 225 cadets are taking part under the supervision of Camp Commandant Sqn Ldr KU Singh.

Cadets of No 1 (Manipur) Air Sqn (Flg) NCC, visited 40 AR , Keithealmanbi  on 19 Jan 2013 as a part of their training programe. The cadets are at present undergoing the Annual Training camp –II (2012-13). Total number of 58 cadets took  part .

IMPHAL, Jan 20 NNN: Rabindranath Tagore was responsible for making the Manipuri dance getting recognised world-wide, according to a seminar in Imphal.
A one-day seminar entitled, “Rabindranath Tagore and the Manipuri Dance” was held today at Harimati Dance and Music Centre, Porompat in Imphal East district where noted resource persons presented their papers.
The occasion was organised by Harimati Dance and Music Centre in collaboration with the North East Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Dimapur.
Gracing the occasion, former vice chancellor of Manipur University Ng Bijoy who is also a sitting MLA said that in the year 1919 Rabindranath Tagore first witnessed a Manipuri dance in Sylhet, Bangladesh. After that event, the Nobel laureate started analysing Manipuri dance and since then the dance became known world-wide, Ng Bijoy said. The former vice chancellor of Manipur University then said a big credit goes to Rabindranath Tagore in this regard.
Meanwhile, noted personsalities R.K Jhalajit, a Padmashree and Dr M Kriti Singh, another Padmashree presented their papers during the seminar.
