JIRIBAM, April 28: The Joint Civil Society Organization and Student Organizations of the sub division has appealed to withdraw the blockade being imposed along the Jiribam-Imphal road on or before April 29. The two bodies have said that the blockade being imposed along NH-37 has affected the people of Jiribam in particular most severely. “As Jiribam is under Imphal East District,  people of Jiribam have to go Imphal for all purposes. The blockade will cause inconveniences to the candidates who are going to appear in the written test to be held on May 1for recruitment of Manipur police constable and in various interviews,” it said.

The two bodies have  appealed to all concerned to lift the blockade being imposed along Jiribam-Imphal road on or before April 29 while drawing the attention of the state government to look into the matter failing which the two organizations have threatened to impose a counter blockade from April 30 onwards.
