IMPHAL, April 28: All Manipur Manpower Upliftment Centre has said in a press release that May Day which is International Workers` Day commemorating the historic struggle of working people throughout the world will be held in Manipur while expressing apprehension about exploitation and oppression of have nots by the haves, abuse of resources etc.
It continued that it is deeply concerned about the issue and problems of the poor, peasants and labourers while decrying the shrinking areas of paddy fields where schools, IOC pumps, brick field etc were being set up. It also lamented the fate of people living around the Loktak lake.
