Seven non local children sent to juvenile home

Eleven non locals who did not speak Manipuri language and did not possess any identification papers were rounded up by a team of JCILPS, Thoubal and handed over to Thoubal police.

When the police found out the seven out of 11 were minors, they were further handed over to Child Welfare Committee, Thoubal. The children were then safely brought to a nearby juvenile home by a team led by chairperson, CWC, Thoubal, Kh. Jotindra.

The children belonged to Dibrugarh, Assam. It has been confirmed that they were brought for labour works. Jotindra said arrangements have been made so that the children may be forwarded to a CWC concerned.
