IMPHAL, June 20: The Manipur Mountaineering and Tracking Association, MMTA has felicitated Arunchalese mountaineer Anshu Jamsenpa, who summit Mt Everest twice during a span of 10 days very recently.

MMTA organised a felicitation function at its office premise today for the three membered Team Arunchal Mount Everest Expedition – 2011 which successfuly scaled the world’s highest peak on May 12 and May 21 this year.

Two other members of the Team Arunachal Mt. Everest Expedition-2011 were Miss Tine Mena of Arunchal Pradesh and Dr K Romeo Meetei of Kakwa Bazar, Imphal, Manipur.

Twice summiteer of the world’s highest peak, Anshu Jamsenpa aged 32 years is a mother of two children and she is presently settled at Bomdila, West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh.

Having completed Adventure Course from MMTA Manipur with grading ‘A’ in 2009, Anshu Jamsenpa did her basic Mountaineering Course from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi in 2009. She also completed Advance Course from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling in 2010 and also Guest Instructor Course from the same institute.

She was also summiteer of North East Pre Everest Expedition at Nepal Peak under MMTA, Manipur in 2010.
