JIRIBAM, December 10: The 74th Nupi Lan Ningshing Numit Observation Committee 2013, Jiribam has today organised Marathon Race for woman at Jiribam in connection with the observation of Nupi Lan.

The women marathon race was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Y Iboyaima Singh. The marathon race has two categories – below 40 years and above 40 years respectively. In the below 40 years category,  H Sushila Devi of Ningthembam, M Romita Devi of Monbung and A Memi Devi of Champanagar stood first, second and third position respectively.

And above 40 years, Kh Ibema Devi of Harinagar, Y Fajaton Devi of Lakhinagar, Assam and L Bina Devi of Kalinagar stood first, second and third position respectively. The women marathon race was started from Dibong and its finishing line at All Jiribam Meira Paibee office, Babupara,Jiribam. Around 100 women were participated in this race and the prizes will be distributed on December 12 in a function held at Jiribam Town Hall.
