Imphal, Aug 3: The District Youth Affairs and Sports Office Imphal West will organise the Imphal West District-level Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Tournament in two categories: i) under 15 (sub junior boys) and ii) under 17 (junior boys and girls) categories.
For sub-junior group, players must be born on or after November 1, 2002 and for junior group, the players must be born on or after November 1, 2000.
Interested schools under Imphal West District may come to the office of the District Youth Affairs and Sports with related documents and collect the form. The last date for submission of form is 12 August 2017.

Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has strongly condemned the reported rape of a 15-year old girl near Viewland Colony, Senapati.
In a statement, DESAM conveyed readiness of its volunteers to donate required amount of blood to the victim girl who has been treated at Raj Medicity.
The students’ body has also urged the Government to extend possible help to the victim girl. DESAM further demanded fitting punishment of the perpetrators, saying that instances of crimes against women are on the rise due to reported absence of punishment to the perpetrators.
