Man held with arms at Congress office

Police arrested a worker of K. NInghemjao, an aspirant candidate of Congress (I) in the ensuing state assembly election from Andro A/C along with a nine mm pistol at the gate of congress Bhavan this morning around 10.10 a.m. The incident took place when the aspirant candidate along with his workers were coming to congress Bhavan to attend the 126th foundation day of INC today. The arrested was identified s Md. Habibur Rahman alias Mangi (38), Yairipok Tulihal Awang Leikai. During preliminary investigation, the arrested disclosed that he got the gun from a former cadre of PLA identified as Sanasam Rajbihari of Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai today.

MDPF manifesto released

The manisfesto of Manipur Democratic Peopl’s Front (MDPF) was released at a function held at the residence of its president, Dr. Gurumayum Tonsana Sharma at Lairikyengbam makha Leikai today.
The party president Dr. Tonsana Sharma, former CE, PWD taking part in the release function said, the party was formed as regional one and it will solve the problems of Manipur. If we can unite, we can do whatever we like. Although India is a democratic country, there is some discrimination or ill treated among various communities. When we go to New Delhi, the people of the area looked dawn us.
