Cadets of the No 1 Manipur Air Sqn (Flying) NCC conducted a cross country race at the Kangla fort on 30 Jan 2012. “The exercise was to imbibe competition, espirit-de-corps love and respect for the great culture and history of Manipur in the young cadets attending the camp from various parts of the State”, said Flt Lt K.U Singh, the Camp Commandant. The young cadets ran from their campsite at the DM College camp where they are presently undergoing a 10 days Annual Training Camp towards Kangla Fort and entered Kangla through the western gate and exited through the north A.O.C gate, terminating the race at the NCC ground. About 300 cadets participated in the race and enjoyed the scenic beauty and refreshing air insie the Kangla Fort. It was a thrilling experience for all the cadets as some of them have never seen the Ancient Fortress earlier.
