Bambike, a cycle was designed by Bijoy Kumar from Bangalore. Both Govindas Konthoujam, Commerce & Industries Minister and M Prithviraj, MLA took a brief joy-ride on the bicycle as the chief guest and the guest of honour respectively .
Prithviraj said that such cycle through the state’s bamboo can help improve people’s economy and act as precursor to positive health as cycling improves health. Kamesh Salam, Executive Director of South East Asia Bamboo Association said that utilizing bamboo not only improve people’s economy.
