MNS: 15 Assam Rifles of HQ 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) installed solar street lights at Sombrai village much to the appreciation and gratitude of the locals. The inauguration was carried out by Col A S Kapoor, SM, Commandant, 15 Assam Rifles amongst a large gathering of villagers on Feb 16.
In another occasion 16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) distributed Solar Street Lights under AR MCA Programme in the NE Region to Leishi village today.
16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) presented furniture and educational books to Govt Primary School Phalang at Phalang, Ukhrul today. Commandant 16 Assam Rifles emphasized the need of the hour i.e. high quality and compulsory education being the key to a bright future. The habit of reading instills a sense of confidence in minds of children and makes them self-dependent. He also said that the varied books will definitely provide a cutting edge to the future of tomorrow viz-a-viz proving their mettle .
