IMPHAL, May 5: “On May 4, a cadre of UNLF Army No 886 (Batch No 13) s/s Sgt maj Salam Kunjabihari alias Tharoiba, a resident of Khordak Awang Leikai, PO-Kumbi, PS-Kumbi, Bishnupur surrendered to the security forces of Red Shield Division at 3:30pm with one Point 22mm Rifle with Magazine”, claimed a PIB (Defence Wing) statement.
The individual revealed that he joined UNLF outfit in 2000 and was actively involved in money collection for the banned outfit from the general area of Kumbi.
