IMPHAL, April 10: A 45 year old man who was undergoing treatment at SHIJA Hospital with 80 percent burn over his body in a fire at Sugnu bazaar yesterday succumbed to his injury today around 7.30 pm.
Laishram Muhindro 45 son of (L) Surchand of Sugnu was admitted to the SHIJA hospital yesterday night in a critical condition with an 80 percent burn injury all over his body recieved during an inferno at Sugnu bazaar yesterday evening.
The death body has been handed over to the RIMS morgue for post Mortem. It may be mentioned that several houses and shops located at Sugnu bazaar around 6.10pm yesterday were gutted by an inferno during which the deceased and others were injured. Meanwhile, Sugnu police has taken up a case regarding the incident.
