IMPHAL, Oct 8: The All Loktak Lake Areas Fishermen`™s Union Manipur (ALLAFUM) on behalf of the Loktak Fishermen and Loktak Wetlands dependents has expressed deep appreciation of Oinam Nabakishore Singh, who was recently appointed the State Chief Secretary.
A statement of the union said such prestigious post held by a son of Thanga is praiseworthy.
The Loktak Lake has bestowed upon its Wetland dependents with many blessing to her children, it said.
It may be noted that there are many remarkable civil service officers, police officers, army officers, academicians, engineers, scientist, doctors, etc. among which Oinam Nabakishore Singh is one, it said.
As he have done remarkable job in the state service in the past as a responsible citizen of the State, we have high hopes and expectation that as a son of Thanga soil the grievances of the Loktak Lake fisher folks and other wetland dependents will be addressed so that the old aged customs and tradition of the Loktak Lake will be restored, it said.
The ALLAFUM wish you all the very best as you take up one of the most responsible duty in serving the Manipur State, it said.
