IMPHAL, Jul 28: On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Indian Army’s victory in the war against Pakistan in 1999, all ranks of HQ 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas by paying homage to the martyrs of Operation Vijay at the war memorial at Pallel in Chandel district on July 26. In a similar occasion and in order to connect with all ex-servicemen of the State a Zila Sainik Board Office was inaugurated and a function was organised for the ex-servicemen.
