IMPHAL, Aug 20: A snake bite victim namely Rezia (29) w/o Akbar Khan of Yairipok Yambem in Thoubal district was saved by the medical team of 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) today.
The victim was bitten by a snake and was rushed to the unit hospital of 2 Assam Rifles, said a statement issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S). The victim was attended by the medical team and necessary first aid was administered. This timely action of Assam Rifles medical team saved the precious life of the individual.
