Even though Ukhrul district has had two Chief Ministers apart being the first district which got the light of western education, the district is now lagging behind other districts in terms of development on account of negligence by successive Governments, lamented Soso Shaiza, daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Yangmasho Shaiza.
