The district magistrate, Imphal East has promulgated Section 144 of CrPC in the whole of the district for a period of two months starting from last Sunday.
In its order the district magistrate said there were reports about certain anti-social elements indulging in unlawful activities and threatening to certain sections of the population from certain quarters.
