Maram locals decries doctor’s transfer

Maram Khullen Circle Youth & Students’ Association (MKCYSA) expressed its strong resentment against the transfer order of the Maram PHC senior most Medical Officer (SMO) in-charge, Dr. Ngouniba Peter.

A release said the transfer order has come a time when the PHC is doing so well under the said doctor. Medical facilities at Maram PHC has today become a 24×7 medical aid centre rendering prompt services not only to the locals but to the vast area populace including Mao, Poumai, Upper Zaliang areas, Don Bosco college students and other emergency patients and casualties, it added.

The local populace considers the sudden transfer of the SMO as an injustice and a measure of discouragement to an honest, efficient and hard-working government servant, it said.
