Various issues like lack of proper lightings/electric lamps along the road to Gate no 2 among other were raised during the meeting.

Wari Liba Festival begins

IMPHAL, Dec 14: The 4th Guru Ngaseppam Tombi Memorial Wari Liba (story telling) Festival, organised by Repertory of Wari Liba Manipur, Khurai, began today at Hanjabam Mandop, Wangkhei Thangapat Mapal Hanjabam Leirak and will continue till December 18.
The inaugural event was attended by Yaiskul A/C MLA, Th Satyabrata Singh , Repertory of Wari Liba Manipur president Konthoujam Kunjo Singh and retired IAS, Dr RK Nimai as dignitaries.
Floral tributes were paid to the photo of late Guru Ngaseppam Tombi and a souvenir was also released during the ceremony.
In a first of its kind in the history of Manipur’s story telling contest, two story tellers from Hojai, Assam and six story tellers from various district will participate in the festival.
Khaidem Kangjam Inao from Khaidem Khumbong, Imphal West recited stories at the inauguration ceremony.
