Imphal, Dec 16: BJP Manipur State Unit condoled the death of Laiphrakpam Ashokumar who passed away this afternoon.
Party workers hold a two-minute silence and lowered the BJP’s flag to half-staff to mark the condolence, a statement said. A resident of Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai, late Laiphrakpam Ashokumar was a former general secretary of the BJP Manipur State Unit.
He had contested election twice from the Hiyanglam asssembly constituency.
He was also the executive editor of the monthly journal Thambal Leinam, the statement mentioned.
