IMPHAL, Jan 16 : The U-19 boys representing Manipur in the 63rd National School Games Belt Wrestling Championship emerged team champions today while the girls’ team were able to finish runners up.
The championship was held at Hyderabad under the aegis of School Games Federation of India. The boys’ team bagged 2 gold, 2 silver while the girls’ team collected 3 gold and 2 silver to emerge champions and runners up in this championship.

2nd H Biro and H Brojen Football GDC-A, IMA script narrow wins

IMPHAL, Jan 16 : GDC-A, Thinungei beat AMOFA Academy-A 1-0 while IMA beat AMOFA Academy-B in today’s matches of the 2nd H Biro & H Brojen Memorial State Level U-15 Football Tournament 2018 which is currently underway at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School ground under the aegis of AMOFA Academy, Moirang.
In the last group D league match, GDC (A) secured their second win to emerge group winners and qualify for the last 8 round of the tournament.
S Boboy scored the single of the day for GDC (A) in the 6th minute of the match.
In another similar encounter, IMA, Ramsiphai defeated AMOFA Academy-B via a goal scored by RK Cristopher in the 18th minute to earn full point today.
The quarter final round of the tournament will begin from tomorrow onwards.
