Along with observing the CEC foundation day, an awareness programme on HIV/AIDS and Child Rights was also organised in which round 250 students from different villages participated in the programme.
Shri Thongkhup Doungel, founder of the CEC, Sadar Hills and Rev. Th. Joseph Haokip spoke on the occasion as resource persons. Skits, songs and cultural dances from the students were some other highlights of the foundation day observance.
Since its inception, the CEC, Sadar Hills has been doing its best towards socio-economic development of the rural areas in Sadar Hills and people of the area have been benefited by it in various ways.

IMPHAL, Oct 25 NNN: The All Tribal Disables Union Manipur (ATDUM) has canceled its proposed 12 hours bandh in all the hill districts of the state which was to be effected from 5 am of October 29 following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) brought about between the State’s education(S) department and representatives of the union in a meeting which was chaired by the State’s education minister here today.
Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Momo Tantanga, president of ATDUM said the agreement was reached after a long discussion with the education minister at the latter’s office in the presence of ex-MP B.D. Beiring.
The government will consider the demands of the union to relax eligibility criteria for Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) in consultation with the National Council for Teachers’ Education, New Delhi and MHRD, Government of India. An examination centre for physically challenged candidates will also be opened at the DM College complex here.
The ATDUM’s president further said those physically challenged tribal candidates who will be appearing in the forthcoming TET exam can consult him for accommodation facility.

IMPHAL, Oct 25 NNN: The All Tribal Disables Union Manipur (ATDUM) has canceled its proposed 12 hours bandh in all the hill districts of the state which was to be effected from 5 am of October 29 following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) brought about between the State’s education(S) department and representatives of the union in a meeting which was chaired by the State’s education minister here today.
