IMPHAL, September 27: The BJP Manipur Pradesh organisational election will be completed by the month of November starting tomorrow as was unanimously decided by leaders of the party for the smooth functioning of the party, BJP Manipur president Th Choaba informed today.

This will ensure that there is no differences among the party leaders, he told media persons this evening at his party office.

According to party guidelines, the process for the election is being undertaken under the initiative of State in charge for enrolment Sh Shantikumar who is also a former State president of the party, he said.

The election, will however, he conducted phase wise for booth level, mandal level, district level and State level starting from tomorrow, he added.

Announcing that booth committee elections will commenced tomorrow, he said the party’s organisational election will be huge as there are more than 4.70 lakh members enrolled with the party with more than 5000 active members.

He said the booth committee elections will continue till October 10, and the district level elections will conclude by November 20, he added.

On October 20, the BJP State president and national councillor will also be elected, he added.

Reports of all elections will be submitted to the party’s national returning officer for transparency and smooth election, he claimed.

He further said that senior spokesperson of State BJP professor S Tiken has been appointed as State Returning Officer for the election and Sh Shantikumar will overlook the whole election procedure under the supervision of himself who is also the present State president.

All misunderstandings among the party leaders have been removed, he added.

The party is all set to fight the coming by-elections in two constituencies, and elections for 315 seats in Municipal Councils of 19 municipality and 9 nagar panchayats covering 20 Assembly Constituencies, he announced.

He elaborated, the Imphal Municiap Council election will be held after three months and the Manipur General Assembly election in 2017 and the BJP Manipur will fight these elections under Sh Shantikuamr and Prof S Tiken.

General secretary Administration M Asnikumar who is also the party’s state enrolment co-in-charge said there are no differences among the leaders of the party.

He said the BJP will save the people from the prolong rule of the Congress.

Spokesperson prof S Tiken said the misunderstanding among the State leaders of the party witnessed in recent days was due to the expansion witnessed in the party.

As there was a large number of supporters enrolling for the party, small misunderstandings among the leaders, but now there is none, he said.

The organisational election of the party will be held in three Assembly constituencies tomorrow at Khurai, Nambol and Thanga, he added.

He said being the State returning officer of the party election, he will send daily report to the central leaders of the party.

He said the party’s electoral list will be completed soon.
