Easier Said Than Done: Man is made of multiple thoughts, subtle waves of emotion and crippled means to do what others expect him to do in social interactions. He enjoys no option in choosing his neighbours who happen to have taken residence wherever he moves in search of a temporary or permanent stay place due to job transfer or upward mobility. More than anyone else, a man meets and pleads with, shares common fencing and uncommon guessing with, suffers silent envy on, and overhears violent outbursts of his immediate neighbours.

Nightmares of event management

Choice of date: There’s no much option in choosing the date for most of the events we hosted or will do so in the future. Compelling reasons are there. Postponing or preponing a birthday or a marriage anniversary date will be the fodder for adverse gossip. Clashes of date and day, due to mismatches in yearly calendar, may be there; yet, in the compulsion to ‘violently yoke’ the two, dates are often made to precede and hold sway over the ‘day’ on which the ‘date’ falls. Getting an event set, later, when one comes to learn that many dear friends could not make it to a particular event one had unavoidably fixed on a working day, a sense of half-hearted regret flashes in the mind in an attitude of ‘helplessness.’

The flesh profiteth nothing

The Visible Flesh of Man : The human body is a dynamic combo of the body, the soul and the spirit. The body is a lump of flesh that reacts and responds to, and takes orders from the mind and the heart. One can feel pain touch, see, smell, give signs, and express happiness and sorrow through the bodily flesh. Within the human body is the invisible soul philosophers throughout the ages, including Aristotle, debated on, as to whether it is possessed only by human beings or also by other biological and non-biological entities as claimed under ‘animism.’ Socrates and Plato also opined that “the soul must have a logical faculty, the exercise of which was the most divine of human actions.”

Keep thy heart with all diligence

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).”
The Vitality of The Heart : The issues of life are aplenty. Of foremost importance is that one’s heart-beat has to keep beating so that one stays alive. Once it stops, one ceases to exist as a human being, and is remembered as a ‘human-been.’ Other issues of life like bids to get status, food, clothing and shelter will run helter-skelter once the heart fails to play its role in the human body as the center of blood-circulation system.

God loves you all the more

1.Never say brother, you cannot hear,
For God in your mind His thought can share;
Never say sister, you cannot see;
He blinds some that they may better see;
Ear or no ear, eye or no eye,
Who hears Him and mourns deep shall not die.
