IMPHAL, May 9: The troops of Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) carried out a successful rescue operation on May 8.An official release stated that a Tata magic with regd. No MN-1K 4527 heading towards Sugnu Town from Kakching, lost control and turned turtle injuring passengers near Longmaidong, Thoubal. On receiving the news, the troops along with a medical team of 27 Assam Rifles rushed to the spot and rescued twenty passengers, evacuated injured passengers to the Civil Hospital, Kakching after providing first aid, it further added.
