IMPHAL, Dec 21: The Churachandpur District Students’ Union (CDSU)has appealed to all organizations and civil society groups in Manipur to refrain from calling bandhs and strikes which could, in any form, impede celebrations of the forthcoming Christmas and New Year.
The union in a statement has urged one and all-irrespective of caste, creed or religion-to promote the values of multiculturalism and to respect the religious beliefs, faith and festivals of all communities for mutual and peaceful co-existence in the state.
