Imphal, July 7 : Lieutenant General AK Sahni, SM,VSM, General Officer Commanding 3 Corps in his second visit to the State after taking over the Command of 3 Corps arrived in Manipur on a two day visit on 07 Ju1 2012.
The GOC 3 Corps was received by Major Gen UK Gurung,YSM, IGAR (South) at Pallel. The General Officer alongwith IGAR (South) also visited Keithelmanbi and Pallel where he was briefed by respective formation Commanders on prevailing security situation and developmental work undertaken by the Assam Rifles. The General Officer alongwith IGAR(S) also attended a meeting at Chief Minister’s office.
GOC 3 Corps interacted with the troops and expressed his satisfaction over the efforts being put in by them in maintaining peace and harmony in Manipur. He also asked the IGAR (S) to provide all possible assistance to the populace and Civil administration in the true traditions of the Assam Rifles.
