Noted singer and artist Khundrakpam Joykumar popularly known as Khun Joykumar passed away at catholic medical centre hospital this morning after a prolonged illness.
Born on December 15, 1949 at Kwakeithel Moirangpurel, he became the managing director of MFDC. He was awarded best actor award in Shanmbal Wangmada and was the music director and singer of different Manipuri film. He was the playback singers of Lamja Parsuram (1974), Shaphabee (1975) Olang Thagee Wangmadasu (1980), Kombirei (1989), Shambal Wangma (1993), Meichak Meichak (1991), Aroiba Bidai (2000), Nongju Ahing (2002) and Krishna Allah Jesus.
He was awarded best music director in the Manipur film festival 1984 organised by MFDC.
