The Senapati District Consumers’ Club staged a demonstration against the siphoning of Food items (for the month of August and September, 2011) at Senapati Bazaar on Monday.
The sit-in-protest was held under the theme “Siphoning off PDS items” meant for people of Senapati district by the officials of CAF and PD Senapati.
A placard written “we condemn siphoning of PDS items”, “Rice to people!”, “where has fair price shop gone?”, “stop cheating Senapati people”, “deprivation of poor peoples’ share is criminal act”, to be seen at the site of the protest. The sit-in-protest was joined by the United Naga Council (UNC), Naga People Organization (NPO), Tribals Hohos, All Naga Students’ Union (ANSAM), SDSA extra were present in the protest.
The sit in protest was organized by Senapati District Consumers’ Club.
