IMPHAL, Jan 16 MNS/UNA : Deputy chief minister G Gaikhangam said he was confident that the Centre would not take any decision which would hurt the sentiment of people of Manipur while bringing a solution to the 15-year old peace talk with the NSCN (IM).
Gaikahngam said “I am confident that New Delhi will not take any decision against the interest of Manipur’s integrity and sentiment of the people as well.”
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said that all section of people of Manipur was united standing for the territorial integrity of the state.
“Unless and until people are united for the integrity of the state, Centre would not take any decision which will hurt the sentiment of the people. I am confident,” he said, adding that Manipur government has also a firm stand that state’s territorial boundary will never be compromise while settling an issue.
All Political party delegation from Manipur left for New Delhi to meet Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, to appraise the situation of the state, where they will submit a memorandum too.
The delegation of the all political party was led by Dy. CM Gaikhangam as CM O. Ibobi was already stationed there.
Just after reaching national capital the representative of the political party meet CM regarding a joint memorandum to submit to the PM as they cannot finalize in the state as he was out of station.
According to a sources from the delegation of all political party, that they will meet the PM of India on January 18 at his office chamber. Memorandum may be finalized tomorrow.
