IMPHAL, April 3: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of India has said in a press release that forms for admission to the first year of three year bachelor degree of science in hospitality and hotel management (2013-14) in 50 different cities of India through  joint entrance examination (JEE) have been issued. JEE will be held on April 27. www.nchmet.org can be logged on for information about the course and http:/applyadmission.net/nchmjee2013 for online form submission, it said.

IMPHAL, April 3: Applications for direct recruitment of some posts at Medical Directorate of Government of Manipur are invited with the last date of form submission set at April 30. As per an official statement issued by Director Health Services, Manipur, the posts for direct recruitment for which applications are invited are :five staff nurse posts and one post each for pharmacist, LDC, male health worker and grade four.

IMPHAL, April 03: The Khekman Lainingthou Lairembi Haraoba Committee, Khekman organized an inaugural function of a Community Hall at Thoubal Ningthou Lampak today.

Giving the keynote address at the occasion, A Kumarjit Singh said the construction work of the Community Hall was taken up by the Manipur Development Society at an estimated cost of Rs 13,81,215 under the active initiation of Wangjam Robin Singh.

Speaking as Chief Guest at the function, Md Abdul Nassir, Minister Agriculture, Fishery and CADA, Government of Manipur elaborated that the community hall was being built by MDS under Non- Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) whose main objective is to ensure speedy development of infrastructure in the North-Eastern Region by increasing the flow of budgetary financing for infrastructure projects/schemes in the region.

He assured that the CM will be approached to make the developmental works faster in the area and for the old age pension, PDS etc.

IMPHAL, April 3: The All Manipur Students’ Union  (AMSU) has said in a press release that as part of the reformation of district committees and branches  of AMSU, new office bearers of AMSU Imphal West District Committee have been elected on April 3. Shitlajit Konsam, Th Somokanta Luwang, Irengbam Ridenson, Kamei Landir and K Dhanajit Singh were elected as President, secretary general, finance secretary, publicity and information secretary and vice president respectively according to the release.
