A 21-year-old girl succumbed to dog bite injuries she suffered nearly two months ago here on Tuesday.
Ayekpam Reena, daughter of A Mohon Singh, a resident of Kongba Nongthonbam Leikai in Imphal East district succumbed on the way to hospital. She was a student of GP Women’s College, Imphal who was doing BA Second Year.
A pet dog belonging to one Moirangthem Inao, a neighbor to her, bit on her left hand on April 10.Then, she was treated by a local maiba (physician) and since then she had been living in good health until she started suffering from high fever and bodyache in the last three days and suddenly died today.
