IMPHAL, August 20: Protest demonstration for implementation of Inner Line Permit system in Manipur continued till date.

A mass sit in demand to insist the authority for immediate implementation of Inner Permit System in Manipur was staged today along the NH 2 starting from Kakawa Keithel to Heijigang Keithel from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Participating in the protest are the Social Educational Voluntary Athletic Club, Thongju part-II, Thongju Local Development Society Part-II, Youth Welfare Club Thonjgju part I, Kakwa Youth Club Thongju part I, Lamdaibung Social Welfare Club Thongju part-I, Young Development Association Thongju part I, Modern science Club Thongju part II, Divine Club Thongju part I, Thongju Chingong Leimakhong Development Club Thongju part II, Students Welfare Committee Thongju part II, Ningomthong Voluntary Organisation Thongju part I, Kangleicha Yaipha Lamjing Lup Thongju part I, United Social Amateur Club Thongju part I, Rising Sun Club Thongju part II, Yoibu Yoihel Lup Thongju part II.

The organisation also resolved to check the presence of any non locals without valid document and to voice against the existence of the any non locals at the areas.

Similar protest was also held at Tera Lukram Leirak wherein passengers vehicles plying along the Salam Lukram Haorang, Maklang, Tareng Pokpi, Sangaithel staged sit in demonstration. Around 70 passenger vehicles plying along the route stay off road.

Similar ILPS demand agitations were also organised at Wabagai Lamkhai bazar.

A rally was taken out from Wabagai Lamkhai Bazar to Keirak.

Meanwhile, a torch rally demanding ILP implementation in the state jointly organised by JCILPS & KHABI Apunba chanura marup meira paibi was organised at khabi Imphal west district yesterday. the rally started from Khabi Lamkhai and after passing through Nambol Chingmang police station proceeded towards Nambol Phoijing and concluded at the starting point.

Around 200 participated shouted demands resignation of the MP Th Meina Chief Minister Ibobi and the MLAs of the State for thier inaction on the issue.
