IMPHAL, December 28: A man was killed while another person has been admitted at the Shija Hospitals and Research Institute with injuries following a gunshot incident at Pahaijang Village, Churachandpur yesterday evening.
Sources have identified the injured as M Thang, 24, of Churachandpur.
He recieved bullet injuries on his arm, abdomen and chest and has been admitted into the ICU of the SHRI.
Since the injured is admitted inside the ICU, his personal account on the incident cannot be recorded however, sources revealed that the incident occurred at a camp of armed ZRO cadres, although official confirmation is still awaited.
The identity of the dead is yet to be ascertained.
This IFP reporter visited the Churachandpur Police Station to get information on the incident however, it was learnt that no official report had been filed with the police till late this evening.
