Since morning, teaching and non teaching staff of the vidyalaya gathered at the gate of the vidyalaya holding placards like “We condemn criminal act towards teachers” “teachers devoted their life for the students”, etc. and staged the protest against attacking of the teacher.

Speaking to the media persons at the sideline of the sit in protest, one of the teacher told that the incident happened yesterday afternoon when one of the student of Class XII who was sent home for his parent`s counselling after he was found smuggling in intoxicants inside the campus, stabbed LC Alex Pammei, a PGT teacher of the Vidyalaya with a knife.

While condemning the incident in the strongest term the teacher further appealed the school authority to bring amicable solution at the earliest in order to remove the fear psychosis among the staff and the students.

The critically injured teacher was admitted to RIMS Imphal first and later shifted to SHIJA Hospital`s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further treatment.

It is worth mentioning that a Class XII student of JNV Chandel stabbed his teacher in the abdomen inside the school premises at around 2 pm yesterday.
