IMPHAL, May 4: Human resource is the most important factor for developing a constituency, said Khundrakpam MLA and sitting Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Lokeshwar Singh today.
He said in order to develop the Khundrakpam there is a need to improve human resource in the constituency.
Public support is also vital, he said addressing the inaugural function of the newly constructed multipurpose community hall at Taiger Camp under Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency.
Lokeshwar said his main objective ever since he became the local MLA is to bring development in his constituency.
To bring development in our constituency, we need to stay united he said adding that the people should also imbibe good characters in themselves so that people of other constituencies take them as role models.
In the past 45 years, there has been no development in Khundrakpam, the second time local MLA Lokeshwar said.
Further stressing on the need to develop human resource in the constituency, he said every locality of the constituency should be able to produce first class government officers.
He continued that recently widening of roads to 100 feet had been started in his constituency.
Although this may affect the land of the people, it will at the same time change into reality the dream of the public for better road connectivity, he said.
Lokeshwar said once he achieves his goal of seeing Khundrakpa as the most developed constituency in the State, he will step down from politics and spend the rest of his life with his family and children.
