Jiribam (Imp East), Jun 10: Betel leaves which were being transported on a TATA DI along Imphal – Jiribam highway in defiance of the economic blockade called by All Jiribam Contract Teachers’ Association were set ablaze by blockade supporters today. Effigies of the Chief Minister and the Education Minister were also burnt in the process of the agitation, our correspondent reports.
