IMPHAL, Jul 2: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border, Police Station arrested a person with two and a half kilograms of opium from the Western side of the road near Yaingangpokpi market shed yesterday around 3.45 pm. The arrested person has been identified as Leinminlun Haokip alias Lulun (35) s/o (L) Paomang of Yaingangpokpi Sunurok village under Lamlai PS in Imphal East, according to a statement issued by the PRO of Police Dept. The arrested person along with the seized opium was brought to NAB-PS for taking necessary legal action. A case has been registered at NAB-PS and investigation is going on, it added.
