IMPHAL, Aug 22: Normal banking operations were hit today as bank employees of the State joined the one-day Nationwide strike today to protest the Government’s proposed consolidation move, along with other demands. The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), Manipur State Council spearheaded the strike today. Bank employees numbering about 500 gathered and staged at sit-in in front of SBI office, Thangal Bazar.
