Khaie celebrates 25 years of joining BJP

Many may know and many might not but a faithful worker of BJP, K.S. Khaie Leo had just celebrated his long lasting service/membership with BJP of 25 years and it was celebrated in a grand manner with gaiety.

The celebration was held at Multipurpose hall, Senapati district HQ on August 26. Heikham Dingo Singh, parliamentary secretary of panchayat raj and rural development, Meinam Bhorot Singh, former president of BJP, R.K. Ranjan Singh, chairman of BJP Vision Document attended the function as chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.

The celebration was enthralled by cultural dances of Kuki, Zeliangrong Inpui, Poumai, Nepali and western music besides exchange of gifts and greetings.

Dingo, in his chief guest speech, praised Leo for his great achievement to celebrate the silver jubilee of service in BJP and extended his best wishes for his future endeavours.

He responded positively to a memorandum submitted by the Jubilee Committee requesting for construction of a guest house cum conference hall for BJP ST Morcha at Senapati district HQ and construction of road connectivity from Saikul via Gulam to Thingba Khullen/Khunou upto Oinam hill village.

Bhorot congratulated Leo’s completion of 25 long years service in BJP. Bhorot recalled that he first met Leo in 1991 in the party office when he was the president of BJP Manipur. Leo seemed enthusiastic from the start and got enrolled as primary and active member in the party in august 1992. Bhorot said.

Appreciating the jubilarian for his dedicated service with heart and soul for the sake of the party, Ranjan said that such a personality is very rare in the state. He called upon the youth to follow the footsteps of such a strong personality. He also extended his best wishes to Leo.

The “man of the day” in his speech expressed gratitude to his near and dear ones for the unconditional support for all these years and promised that he would be always with them whenever they need him.

Leo pledged that he would work further for good governance, economic development and peaceful co-existence among all people irrespective of caste, creed and religion for peaceful living in the North Eastern region in particular and the nation in general.

The jubilee celebration was participated by some 800 people.
