JAC of 2016 batch constable candidates storms CM bungalow

Demanding declaration of result of male constable recruitment exam 2016, the Joint Action Committee of All Manipur Police Constable Male Civil Viva-Voce Completed Candidate 2016 today stormed the chief minister’s bungalow at around 3 pm.

Speaking to media persons, general secretary of JAC, Manichandra Chanambam said they came to meet the chief minister regarding the issue of declaration of result for viva-voce.

They said earlier the government gave false promise that the results would be declared on August 18 however till then the results have not been declared.

He said the JAC was formed on March 25, this year at Khuman Lampak. The JAC is astounded and gravely disappointed by the response of the government so far he added.

Manichandra appealed to the government to take necessary action on the pending result immediately. If the government assures it would declare the results, the agitation will be terminated immediately. On the other hand, if this is not so, the agitation will intensify in the hill as well as valley districts, he added.

He said there are many candidates who will become age-barred for applying for other government services so for them this is a desperate situation. He demanded that the government give a clear cut answer on the matter.
