IMPHAL, Jan 3: Assam Rifles at Churachandpur part of Red Shield Division, presented solar lights, computer set along with accessories to the children residing at Happy Home, Churachandpur, conveyed PIB Defence Wing in a press release.
The aim of the distribution of the articles was to provide the children suffering from HIV disease with a better future. Locals and social organisations appreciated the efforts, it added.

IMPHAL, Jan 3: All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) in an executive meeting held today at its library hall has elected Lukram Malangba Meitei of DM College of Science as the new finance secretary of AMSU Imphal West District Committee.
Bishnupur District Committee of the students’ union will be conducting a 30-day special revision coaching class for students of Class XII (Science and Arts) at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School from January 7.

Identification & assessment camp

IMPHAL, Jan 3: Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur under National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Secunderabad, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment will be organising a one-day Identification & Assessment Camp GM Hall on January 11.
The centre appealed to all the mentally retarded persons in the State to take part in the camp by bringing disability certificate, income certificate, Aadhaar card and four passport photos.
In the camp, Manipur State Legal Services Authority and State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities will distribute booklets of Mental Health Act and PWS Act, 2017 to the participants.
