Gracing as chief guest, renowned historian Professor Jayanta Bhusan Bhattacharjee delivered the memorial lecture on “Exploring Manipur’s Past : Remembering Gangmumei Kamei and his Works”.
Dr Arambam Lokendra, retired Principal of DM College and former Director of Audio Visual Research Centre, Manipur University presided over the function.

Water supply scheme inaugurated

IMPHAL, Jan 7: As part of Military Civic Action under ‘Operation Sadbhavna Project’ undertaken by the Aina Battalion in Pherzawl district, a water supply scheme (1000 Ltrs HDPE Water Tank) was inaugurated at Lungthullen and Cipikon village on Janaury 2 to alleviate the problems of drinking water to villagers by providing continuous supply of drinking water, conveyed a press release from PIB Defence.
People were facing acute shortage of water in the village. The water supply scheme will resolve the problem of availability of safe drinking water to a large extent,the release added.
