IMPHAL, Sep 11 (DIPR): Directorate of Information & Public Relations and Editors’ Guild Manipur including publishers from different media houses based in the State today had an interaction on Goods & Services Tax (GST) related with media at State Institute of Journalism, DIPR Complex, Moirangkhom. Speaking on the interaction programme, Superintendent, Department of Taxes, Government of Manipur, Y Indrakumar lectured particularly on the impact of GST to media both print and electronic. He said that with the implementation of GST from July 1 last, all newspaper establishments and cable operators in the State should register with GST. If not then the Department can impose penalty to them, he said.
