IMPHAL, December 10: The Relief & Disaster Management Dept., Govt. of Manipur under National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, together with the District Administration Thoubal have organized a three-day “Conduct of Capacity Development Program for Mock Drill on Earthquake” (9 to 11 December 2013) at the Counting Hall inside the Thoubal DC Complex.
As part of the ongoing program, a Mock Drill Demonstration Show will be conducted at five different places on the last day which are Mini Secretariat Thoubal, Wangjing Bazar, Thoubal Keithel, District Hospital Thoubal and Sofia English School, Thoubal.
At the Demonstration which will commence at 10 in the morning, personnel from National Disaster Management Force (NDMF) along with volunteers from NYK, NSS and NCC will provide valuable information and practical demonstrations on ways to prevent loss of life and properties.
Representatives from the District administration of Thoubal, Chandel, churachandpur and Tamenglong along with police personnel who are taking part in the Capacity Development Program will also participate in the demonstration. A press release from the office of the DC Thoubal urged the public to witness the demonstration and benefit from the practical aspects being demonstrated.
