Bishnupur: The 70th Manipur Independence Day was celebrated at various areas of Bishnupur district today by hoisting the National flag of Manipur with the symbol of Lord Pakhangba embossed on it (Paphal flag).
United Women Development Organisation, Bishnupur and Ningthoukhong Keithel Phambi Ema Lup observed the day at Ningthoukhong Bazar under the supervision of Coalition for Indigenous Rights Campaign Manipur.
Meanwhile DESAM, Bishnupur District Council celebrated the day at school and colleges under Bishnupur CD Block, Moirang CD Block, and Nambol CD Block.
