IMPHAL, Apr 22: There is not a single BJP MLA who would leave the party but there is a strong possibility that some more Congress MLAs would join BJP, claimed Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a felicitation function of 25 members of BJP Churachandpur Mandal and 14 Councillors, Ward Members and the Chairperson of Wangoi Municipal Council who joined BJP anew.

Ukhrul greets CM with rousing welcome, Rs 201 cr assured for district

IMPHAL, Apr 11: While the denizens of Ukhrul accorded a rousing welcome to Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren on his maiden visit to the district today as the Chief Minister, the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has urged the Chief Minister to expedite the Framework Agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN-IM, revoke the State Government’s order of creating seven new districts and refrain from militarising Naga areas.
