Under the supervision of CMO Comdt Satish Kumar, medical camp was established at Hengshi village and free medicines were administered to all villagers. Imphal, Aug 16: Shooter Nongthombam Indrasini who hails from Manipur won six medals including 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals in the ongoing World Police and Fire 2017 in Los Angeles, California. She is currently serving in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Indrasini took her 2 gold medals in big bore rifles match (300 yards unisex individual) and in .22 smallbore rifles prone (50 m unisex individual); 2 silver in big bore rifles combined unisex and .22 smallbore free rifles three position (50m unisex individual); 2 bronze in .22 smallbore rifles prone (50m unisex team) and .22 small-bore free rifles three position (50m unisex team).
She started her career as a shooter in the Manipur Rifle’s Association and recieved training here at the SAISAG, Khuman Lampak. She has brought laurels for the state from many national competitions. She is the eldest daughter of Nongthombam Indrajit, president of Manipur Rifles’ Association, and Nong-thombam Ashangbi.
